Default Genesis Shocks are Getting Dirty

The slogan states their intent – Building Winners and Champions One Race at a Time. The roll call of feature wins lists names by the hundreds. The list of track champions number in the dozens and that’s just for 2009.

A relative newcomer in the dirt racing scene, Genesis actually draws on the 50-plus years of experience from Mike Farr and Michael Lutz. Farr, who started his racing career in the mid 1970s in Pennsylvania, has been a shock professional since 1985. “Our product is built on the knowledge of shocks and the fundamentals,” said Farr. “Add in service, price and being racer friendly and we believe it’s a combination that makes winners.

Genesis started showing up on winning race cars in 2006. At first, it was difficult to get some racers to change. Some were resistant simply because other shock companies were using the time worn practice of giving the product away. If that’s the case, you often get what you pay for.

The G Series of shocks includes steel and aluminum, available in a number of valving options and includes single and double adjustable. The products are designed to fill a variety of needs to get maximum performance for a racer. A popular choice for Late models and Modifieds, the shocks have been used with success on Australian Sprints as well.

Genesis has provided contingency sponsorship to a few sanctions, including IMCA, MACS and the Empire Super Sprints. Their objective in 2010 is to bring more racers to Victory Lane with easy to use and easy to understand devices to take the worry out of a night’s racing.
